Lower-Stress Dental Procedures

Our practice uses nitrous oxide to keep you relaxed, allowing us to do our best work. Commonly known as “laughing gas,” nitrous oxide is our sedation method of choice, both for adults and children. If you feel uncomfortable or anxious about dental procedures, sedation may be right for you.

Safe and Effective

You can rest assured that nitrous oxide is safe for you and your family!

Using laughing gas helps both you and your dentist. Keeping you relaxed and lessening your reflexes helps your dentist perform their best work, helping you have a more effective procedure.

In addition to being completely safe, nitrous oxide is quick to leave your body after your procedure, so you can drive yourself home and get back to your day.

What to Expect With Nitrous Oxide

The purpose of sedation is to relax your body and mind during your appointment. Laughing gas will settle your nervous system while allowing you to stay responsive. To administer nitrous oxide, we will place a small mask over your mouth and nose for you to inhale the gas. You’ll feel the effects quickly.

Some patients may experience mild side effects after receiving laughing gas. We’ll work to limit your side effects.

If you have any questions about nitrous oxide before your appointment, please just give us a call.
